Welcome to the House

Come on in.
House of Blueprint began with a simple idea: the things that make a life beautiful rarely belong in only one category.
A home is architecture and construction, of course. But it is also the book left open on the nightstand. The flowers growing beside the driveway. The recipe written in someone else’s handwriting. The chair you found when you were not looking for a chair. The people who build, make, plant, paint, cook, collect, and care for all of it.
We wanted to create a place where those stories could live together.
So we built a house.
Not a literal one, at least not yet. House of Blueprint is a creative house filled with rooms, and every room gives us another way to tell a story.
Blueprint Magazine is part of the foundation. It connects homeowners with the people shaping the Emerald Coast through construction, remodeling, architecture, interiors, craftsmanship, and design. But as we imagined what could grow around it, the walls began to move. One publication became a much larger place for discovery.
Now there is a room for conversations with fascinating people. A room for books and ideas. A greenhouse for the things we grow. A wellness room for the ways our surroundings influence how we feel. A Post Room where HG and her loyal white Labrador, Barkley, are bringing a little happiness back to the mailbox. There are spaces for things we had to have, places worth visiting, children making wonderful messes, and ideas that do not fit neatly anywhere else.
That is exactly how we like it.
What You’ll Find Here
Stories is the editorial heart of House of Blueprint.
Some days, it may resemble a newspaper filled with people and places worth knowing. On others, it may look more like a scrapbook, a shopping list, a field guide, or a bulletin board covered with things we cannot stop thinking about.
You will find beautiful homes, but we are just as interested in how those homes came to be. We want to know who drew the first line, who solved the difficult problem, who made something by hand, and what the people living there have learned along the way.
You will meet artists, builders, gardeners, designers, shopkeepers, makers, collectors, and wonderfully interesting people who resist easy job descriptions.
There will be useful things here too. Sources, local discoveries, books, recipes, ideas for your home, things to do with your children, and pieces we think are worth bringing into your life. Some stories will be deeply reported. Some will be quick notes passed across the kitchen table. Some may simply begin with, “You have to see this.”
We believe all of those things can belong in the same house.
Rooted on the Emerald Coast
House of Blueprint comes from the Emerald Coast of Florida, and this place will always be woven through what we make.
You will see it in the light, the water, the weather, the gardens, and the particular way people live here. You will see it in the businesses and creative people we introduce, and in our curiosity about what is being built, preserved, planted, restored, and reimagined around us.
But the front door is open much wider than our own stretch of coastline.
A beautiful idea can come from anywhere. We want this house to feel familiar whether you live down the road or several states away. We hope you find something here that makes you look at your home, your community, or your everyday life with fresh eyes.
A House With a Point of View
We are not interested in filling the rooms with whatever happens to be trending.
We have a palette, not prescribed brand colors. We have taste, not a template. We have a point of view, not a formula.
That means this space will continue to change as we do. New rooms will appear. Furniture will move. The walls may collect a few nail holes. We will follow good stories when we find them and make room for ideas we did not know we needed.
More than anything, we want House of Blueprint to feel alive.
Thoughtful, but never too polished to be personal. Beautiful, but still useful. Local at heart, but curious about the larger world. A place where creativity and commerce can sit comfortably beside family, community, and a genuine sense of wonder.
This is only the beginning.
Welcome to House of Blueprint. We are so glad you found the front door.
